ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy men's swimming and diving team will resume its season Saturday when the Midshipmen play host to Princeton in a 2 p.m. meet in Lejeune Hall. Both teams enter the weekend with undefeated records in dual meets this season.

"We expect a very competitive meet with Princeton," said Navy head coach Bill Roberts. "They have posted some very strong numbers to date and we expect nothing to come easy in the pool this weekend."
Navy improved its record to 8-0 on the year with a 186-114 victory over Army on December 8. The Mids posted 11 event wins during the meet to run their winning streak over the Black Knights to 21 consecutive seasons. Navy placed third in the most recent CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Ranking.
Princeton, 3-0 on the season, leads the Mid-Major Ranking and is ranked 22nd nationally among all teams.
Navy posted a 167-133 victory over the Tigers when the two teams met one year ago in Princeton's DeNunzio Pool. The Mids won 11 events on the day to record the first win by a visiting team over the Tigers in the two decades the pool had been in existence. Navy held just a one-point lead midway through the meet when the Mids claimed the top-three placings in the 200 butterfly to build a 63-49 advantage. The teams would trade points in the ensuing two events before the Mids went on a four-event winning streak to separate themselves from the Tigers for good.
Returning individual event winners for the Mids are Mac Anthony (Sr., Allentown, Pa.), who won the 200 and 500 freestyle races; Gage Trotter (So., Conroe, Texas), the winner of the 100 backstroke event; Mark Meyer (Sr., Bethesda, Md.), who picked up the win in the 200 fly; Conor Campbell (So., Manassas, Va.), who placed first in the 200 backstroke; and Luke Hoffer (So., Chapel Hill, N.C.), the winner of the 200 breaststroke event.
Princeton returns three swimmers who won individual events during last year's meet. This trio includes Jon Christensen, who won the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley races, 50 freestyle winner Matt LaMonaca and Charles Wang, who placed first in the 100 butterfly race.
