CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - After her game-winner against North Florida on Friday, Navy women's soccer forward Paloma Perez was named BRINE Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, which was announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Navy split this past week with a 1-0 win over North Florida and falling short to then-No. 15 Maryland, 2-0, on Sunday.

Perez gave Navy a big lift as her second-half goal in the 79th minute propelled the Mids to a 1-0 victory over North Florida at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility on Friday night. It was her fourth career game-winner. The senior forward is third on the team with three points on one goal and one assist. It's the fourth career weekly nod for the Mobile, Ala. native.

Navy, at 2-2-0, look to improve on its overall record this weekend. The Mids host Duquesne (Friday at 7pm) and St. Bonaventure (Sunday at 12pm) in the Navy Invitational at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
