Series Notes:
• Colgate holds a slight edge over Navy in the all-time series, 14-12-4. The Raiders own an 8-4-2 record in Hamilton, N.Y. over the Mids.
• Navy won the most recent contest, 1-0 on Oct. 5, 2013 in Annapolis. Sophomore Cat Macklin scored the game-winning goal from sophomore Courtney Hook in the 33rd minute.
Colgate Notes:
• Colgate is 8-1-1 overall and holds a perfect 3-0 in league play. The Raiders recently defeated Army, 5-0 on Wednesday in Hamilton, N.Y.
• The Raiders are on a seven-match winning streak and have blanked six teams during the stretch.
• Catherine Williams and Eliza Doll lead the squad with seven points. Caroline Brawner leads all Raiders with three assists.
• Goalkeeper Brenna Mason has been stellar in net, holding opponents to a .44 goals-against average with a .902 save percentage. Mason has recorded six of the teams seven total shutouts.
A Week To Remember
• Senior forward Lily Kraemer provided a big spark for Navy off the bench and led Navy to a 2-0 record from Sept. 22 to Sept. 26.
• Kraemer began the week with a career-best two-goal game against Mount St. Mary's en route to a 3-0 win. She recorded the eventual game winner in the 32nd minute. The senior forward then tallied the first goal of the contest against Lafayette in the 40th minute, which resulted in the game-winning goal as the Mids won 4-0.
• Kraemer's three goals in a span of four days, two of which were game winners were both season highs.
• Following her performance, Kraemer was named as the Disney Soccer/NSCAA Players of the Week and Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week.
Thanks For The Assistance
• Senior defender Julie Schumacher has made a career of setting up her teammates in set pieces and this season has been no different.
• Over the past two seasons, Schumacher has either led or was tied for the lead in assists in a season with nine in 2012 and six in 2013.
• Schumacher currently leads the Patriot League in assists with seven after 12 matches and is tied for 15th in the nation.
• For her career, Schumacher has recorded 23 assists in 66 games. Her recent assist against American tied her for ninth all-time at Navy with Kara Hardebeck (1999-02) and Shannon Filbin (1996-99)
Putting In The Time
• Senior defender Jade Seabrook has been Navy's foundation on the backline since she was a freshman.
• After playing as an important reserve player during her freshman season and logging 774 minutes, Seabrook has seen very little time on the bench. The senior defender has recorded back-to-back seasons of 1600+ minutes on the field. Seabrook currently has tallied 994 minutes this season.
• Since she was implemented as a starting center back, Seabrook has not been on the field for 619:01 out of a possible 5057:01 minutes. She has started 53 straight games since the beginning of her sophomore season.
Patriot League Play
• Since 1994, Navy has accrued a 88-35-16 record against Patriot League opponents during the regular season. The Mids have tallied four-plus wins in regular-season play seven of the last eight seasons.
• Saturday's match versus Boston U. was the 22nd league opener for Navy. The Mids fell to an 11-8-2 record in league openers following the 1-0 loss at Boston. Navy is 3-6-1 on the road in conference openers.
• Navy has tallied eight regular-season titles, including the last two (1998, `99, `01, `03, `06, `08, `12, `13).
• Senior forward Morgan Dankanich has found success against league foes, tallying 22 points on 10 goals and two assists in 24 games played.
Battle Tested
• Navy played a strong nonconference to prepare for the league schedule, facing three teams in the RPI's top 40 (Maryland- 25, UConn-36, South Florida-38) and defeating then No. 24 James Madison.
Dialed In To The Net
• Dankanich wasted very little time to the start of the 2014 campaign, recording four goals through the first nine games.
• Dankanich has improved each season on the attacking end, tallying five goals her freshman season to 10 in her sophomore campaign to 14 goals last season.
• Through 68 career games, the senior forward has accrued 33 goals, which places her sixth all-time at Navy.
Navy Invitational
• Since 1996, Navy has accrued a 24-4-4 record at its annual invitational. The Mids largest margin of victory was against Pittsburgh, 8-1 on Sept. 7, 1996 and their largest defeat was against Ohio State, 2-0 during the same invitational on Sept. 9, 1996.
• Navy has won eight of its last nine matches of the invitational, three of which have been overtime wins.
• Of the 26 different squads to compete against Navy at the invitational, Rider, Davidson and Towson have faced the Mids each three times, which is the most amongst the 24 teams.
• Eight of Navy's matches have gone into overtime and own a 3-2-3 record, winning the last two last season (Duquesne, 1-0; St. Bonaventure, 3-2).
• Navy defeated Marist, 2-1 on Sept. 12 and finished the invitational with a 1-1 tie against Ball State on Sept. 14.
Road Warriors
• Navy began its 2014 slate with five matches on the road. The Mids battled with UMBC and UConn on opening weekend. Navy lost two one-goal games, 1-0 at UMBC and 2-1 at UConn.
• Navy then continued with two matches in Florida, tying with USF, 1-1 and concluded with a 3-1 win over Stetson.
• The Mids finished their five-game road trip with an impressive 1-0 win over No. 24 James Madison.
• Navy is 112-79-19 all-time when it plays away from home. The Mids were 5-2 on the road in 2013 and are currently 2-3-1.
• It's the first time in program history that the Mids began a season on the road for the first five matches.
Knocking Off The Best
• Navy recorded its second win over a top-25 team in program history with a 1-0 win over No. 24 James Madison.
• The Mids now own a 2-14-1 record against top-25 programs. Navy earned its first win over then-No. 9 Penn State, 1-0 on Oct. 26, 2006. Navy then went on to tie then-No. 20 William & Mary, 0-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Mids advanced on penalty kicks.
Freshman Firsts
• Navy freshman have been busy through 12 games, tallying 16 points on five goals and six assists.
• Forward Clare MacAdam paces all Navy freshmen with three goals, including the game winner over No. 24 James Madison. The Mids are 3-0 when MacAdam records a goal.
• Forward Natalie Dzhandzhapanyan has recorded two assists, one against UConn and one against Stetson.
• Dzhandzhapanyan scored her first collegiate goal against Lafayette on Sept. 26.
• Midfielder Meghan Hegarty set up teammate Rachel Hunter for the go-ahead goal vs. Maryland for her first career assist on Sept. 8.
• Hegarty scored her first collegiate goal against American on Oct. 1, which was the eventual game winner.
• Defender Annie Morgan tallied an assist on Courtney Mason's goal versus Marist on Sept. 12.
