ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Junior goalkeeper Jackson Morgan and junior forward Derek Vogel received conference and national awards for their role in Navy's 1-0 double-overtime win over Army in the Star Match on Friday at PPL Park.

Both Morgan and Vogel were named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week. Morgan was also named the Patriot League Corvias Goalkeeper of the Week and Vogel was the Patriot League Corvias Offensive Player of the Week. Additionally, Vogel was named the NAAA Athlete of the Week.

Morgan made four saves against Army, including three in overtime, for his seventh shutout of the season. Morgan also stopped an Army penalty kick in the 94th minute that would have ended the match had it gone in.

Vogel scored the game-winning goal in the 107th minute to send the Mids to victory. Vogel took a pass from Sam Bascom and spun off his defender to send a left-footed shot to the back of the net for the Golden Goal.

Morgan received his third Patriot League weekly honor of the season and his first national weekly honor. Morgan was named to the All-Patriot League Second Team on Monday.

Vogel receives his sixth conference weekly award in his three-year career. Vogel became a three-time all-conference honoree when he was named to the third team on Monday.
