Sept. 21, 2015 CENTER VALLEY, Pa. â€" Navy women's soccer freshman midfielder Eleanor Pratt (New Orleans, La.) was named Corvias Patriot League Rookie of the Week, which was announced by the league office on Monday.
Pratt recorded two assists, both of which came off corner kicks, as Navy tied Army West Point, 2-2 and defeated St. Francis (Pa.), 4-0, last week. The freshman midfielder's first assist came in the 48th minute against Army West Point. Pratt swung in her pass towards the middle of the 18, where teammate Lexi Ricketts came crashing in to finish the play to tie the game, 1-1. Against St. Francis (Pa.), she crossed in her corner kick inside the six-yard box, where teammate Clare MacAdam was standing there to finish the play with her head to put the Mids up 1-0 in the 47th minute.
Pratt leads all Patriot League players with five assists on the season. Since being implemented in the starting lineup, she has recorded four points on one goal and two assists in the last three matches. Pratt leads all Navy freshman with seven points on one goal and five assists.
Navy hosts Howard on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
