Sept. 6, 2016 ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- After four-straight road matches, the Navy women's soccer team (1-4-1) returns to Annapolis to host in-state rival Maryland on Wednesday (6:30 PM) at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.

Striking Early and Often
• Junior forward Clare MacAdam has found success on offense in the early part of 2016, tallying four goals through the first six games.
• MacAdam has recorded a goal in the last four matches to lead the Navy offense with four.
• The Palmyra, New Jersey, native's four goals has risen her career point total to 50 on 22 goals and six assists. MacAdam's 50 points tie her for 18th all-time in program history.
• MacAdam's 22 goals in one shy of breaking into Navy's top-10 goal scorers.
• MacAdam helped Navy get on the board first in the last two matches, tallying goals in the 10th and 20th minute.
Higginson Honing In
• Freshman midfielder Cadie Higginson has been able to contribute on offense for the Mids early in the 2016 campaign.
• In just her first six matches, Higginson has tallied three goals on five shots.
• Higginson's three goals are second best on Navy and tied-for fifth in the Patriot League.
• The freshman midfielder's goal in the 70th minute versus Niagara proved to be the insurance goal to help Navy record its first win of 2016.
Scouting Maryland
• The Terrapins are 2-3-1 to begin the 2016 and 2-1 on the road.
• Maryland is led by first-year head coach Ray Leone, who came to College Park after spending nine seasons with Harvard. Leone led the Crimson to five Ivy League Championships and five NCAA Tournament appearances.
• Sophomore Jarena Harmon has been the Terps' offensive catalyst, tallying eight points on four goals, including the game-winner against William & Mary. Harmon single-handedly defeated the Tribe as she scored all three of Maryland's goals in a 3-2 victory.
Maryland has used three different goalkeepers to begin the season, all of whom have started two matches a piece. Katelyn Jensen owns a team-best 0.67 goals against average, while teammate Rachel Egyed has a team-high 18 saves.
Navy-Maryland All-Time Series
• The Terrapins are 9-0-1 all-time against the Midshipmen
• Maryland has outscored Navy, 20-1, in seven matches at College Park. In Annapolis, however, the Terps have only outscored the Mids, 7-2, in three matches.
• Navy earned its first result, a 1-1 tie, against Maryland on September 8, 2014 in Annapolis. Having dropped the previous eight matches to the Terps, the Mids got on the board first off the foot of Rachel Hunter in the 34th minute. Maryland's Riley Barger, however, swung in a corner kick for a goal in the 43rd minute to even the match.
• Maryland's Alex Anthony led the Terps to a 2-0 victory last season on August 23. Anthony opened with a goal just 13 seconds after the whistle blew to start the game. Anthony again found the back of the net in the 65th minute.
Parking / Shuttle Information
Fans are reminded that the general public does not have access to drive their vehicles on to the U.S. Naval Academy. Fans may park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for $5 and take a shuttle that will run every 10 minutes starting at 5:30 PM, one hour prior to the game and will continue running until 10:00 PM on Wednesday.
