LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Navy's offshore sailing team had two boats compete at the Storm Trysail Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta on the Long Island Sound and both the Midshipmen's boats captured first-place finishes in the two classes they entered.

In the J/44 class, skipper
Hayden Kuzemchak and his crew posted scores of 1,4,2 to win on a tiebreaker against Kings Point in the five-team class. Kuzemchak's crew consisted of
Zachary Krause on bow,
Kevin Navarro on pit,
Tim Forman on spin trim,
Katie Boyle on tactics,
Philip Smith on main trim,
Matthew Malone on jib trim and
Brett Eckert on mast.

Navy's boat in the J/105 class was led by
Nicholas Walden with
Eddie Rankin on helm,
Samuel Hall on main trim,
Jack King on jib trim,
Zachary Medeiros on pit and
Luke Gillcrist on bow. The Midshipmen posted a first- and second-place finish to win by three points over Boston University in the 12-boat class.
