"There were a lot of multi-event scorers. A lot of young student-athletes stepped up. We had some school records that were broken. The women showed a lot of determination. I am really happy for them."

Navy Men's Recap
The Navy men's track and field team recorded 243.5 points as a team to finish the 2019 Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championship in second place. The second-place finish marked the first time since 2012 that the men's team did not win the PL Indoor title.
"It is tough when you score 243 points and lose," Cook said after the meet. "That is good enough to win most years. We had a lot of impressive performances across the board. John Finnegan was outstanding – Track Athlete of the Meet. Cedric was phenomenal and earned Field Athlete of the Meet. Ben Stewart's mark may end up getting him to Nationals. There was a lot of people who did a really good job. We just have to move on. Obviously, we are upset about not winning. We gave a good effort and competed really well."
Cedric Williams (Powder Springs, Ga.) was named the Field Athlete of the Meet, as well as the Top Point Scorer on the men's side. He was joined as an individual award winner by John Finnegan (Spring, Texas) who was tabbed the Track Athlete of the Meet.
