CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – For the fifth time this season,
Kelly Larkin (Alexandria, Va.) of Navy women's lacrosse was named the Patriot League Attacker of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
Larkin led Navy to a 13-12 road victory over Boston to secure the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament. The junior led all players with eight points, finishing the game with two goals and a team-high six assists. Larkin's six assists tied a career high. In addition, she picked up two ground balls and a caused turnover.
Larkin scored both goals in the first half against the Terriers. She tallied all six assists in the second half, including helpers on five consecutive goals by the Midshipmen. Larkin had the assist on
Nicole Victory's game-winning goal.
With her eight points, Larkin now has 104 points on the season, making her the first player in Patriot League history with three 100-point seasons.
Navy returns to action on Thursday, May 2, as the Midshipmen take on rival Army West Point in the Patriot League Tournament semifinals. Opening draw is slated for 8:00 p.m. at the Ridley Sports Complex in Baltimore, Md. Live stats and live video will be available throughout the game.
