ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy track and field team split a dual meet with Princeton on Saturday at Wesley A. Brown Field House in Annapolis, Md. The Midshipmen's men's team posted a 107-68 victory over the Tigers, while the women's team was edged 90-87. As a team, Navy notched 36 total IC4A / ECAC qualifying times / marks throughout the day.
"We always start with our attitude and our effort," Director of Navy Track and Field
Jamie Cook said after the meet. "How do we come out? How do we attack the day? Whatever challenges are put in front of us, how do we respond? There were some instances where we did really well and some that we need to work on."
"The goal at this point of the year is to get better every day. If we continue to do that I am happy. I think we are starting to find some people to step up. There were some good results both on the men's and women's side, but we have to get a lot better to be the type of team that I think we are capable of."
