Tipping Off
• Navy and Holy Cross each enter Wednesday's game having dropped their most recent contest. The Mids saw their three-game winning streak halted with a 73-66 loss to Army. Holy Cross began last week with a 96-95 overtime win against Lehigh before falling, 79-64, to Boston U.
• Recent series history shows a lot of close games played between the teams. The last three games have been decided by a total of nine points and six of the last 11 games have been decided by no more than five points.
• Holy Cross posted a 63-61 victory over Navy when the teams met Jan. 5 in Worcester, Mass. Each team had 10-point leads in the first half, then the lead changed hands four times in the last seven minutes of the game. The final points were scored when Drew Lowder made a three-point basket with 6.0 seconds left in the game.
•
Greg Summers posted a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds in the game. Austin Butler led Holy Cross with 18 points.
•
Cam Davis needs 12 points to reach 800 for his career,
Evan Wieck is 18 points shy of 700 and
John Carter Jr. is 20 points away from 500.
