ANNAPOLIS, Md. – For the second-straight week and fourth time this season, junior
Michael Zanti (Norfolk, Va.) has been named the NAAA Athlete of the Week presented by Northrop Grumman, after leading No. 16 Navy to a pair of program records last week against No. 2 Kentucky to close out the fall season.

Prior to Saturday's virtual match, the Navy's previous two records in aggregate (4,685) and air rifle (2,369) scoring were both set against John Jay last spring on February 20, 2020. Along with the two program records, the Midshipmen also set a season-high in smallbore with 2,313 points.
Â
Zanti paced the Midshipmen with an overall score of 1,178 points, which was two points off his career-high. In all six of Navy's events this fall, Zanti has been the team's leading scorer in each outing while scoring at least 1,170 points in five of the six competitions. Zanti set a career-high in smallbore with 585 points while notching a 593 in air rifle.
