ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy women's basketball head coach
Tim Taylor announced on Wednesday that he has promoted
Jimmy Colloton to Associate Head Coach. Colloton, a member of the Navy women's basketball program since July of 2014, served as an assistant coach with the Mids for six seasons before earning this elevated status.
"I am so excited and honored to announce that
Jimmy Colloton has deservingly been promoted to Associate Head Coach," exclaimed Taylor. "Jimmy has been the consummate professional and has taken on many leadership roles throughout our transition to Navy Women's Basketball. I have always believed people should earn promotions through their efforts and leadership within an organization. Jimmy has gone above and beyond in all aspects and people within our organization look to him for trusted guidance and support. He is an outstanding basketball coach and selfless leader for our staff and players. I am thankful for his friendship and look forward to building the Navy Women's Basketball program together."
"Thank you to Coach
Tim Taylor and AD
Chet Gladchuk for this incredible opportunity," remarked Colloton. "Working with Coach and our staff the past few months has been exciting for me and I look forward to continuing this journey with them as we take the program to new heights in the future. As I have said before, coaching our Midshipmen student-athletes has been the highlight of my career and I am so grateful for my time at the Naval Academy these past six years. I can't wait for the season to get started this weekend!"

In a two-year span, Colloton and the Mids won 24 games in 2016-17 and a program-record 25 the following year. Each of those seasons saw Navy competing in the WNIT Tournament.
