Five Starting Notes
1 – Navy will be playing at Maryland for the first time since Jan. 31, 1983.
2 – This game will be Navy's first road game at a Big Ten member school since playing at Northwestern on Jan. 3, 1989. The Mids have played only nine road games at a Big Ten school when that team was a member of the conference.
3 – Navy and Maryland last met two seasons ago in Annapolis as part of the Veterans Classic. The Mids return five players who took to the court against the Terps in that game and Maryland has four players back from its 78-57 win over Navy.
4 – A pair of first-time starters were in Navy's starting lineup against George Washington.
Tyler Nelson and
Richard Njoku combined to shoot 11-17 from the field and each scored 12 points.
5 –
Cam Davis climbed closer to the 1,000th point of his career with a 15-point showing against the Colonials. He enters the weekend with 973 points.
