Five Starting Notes
1 – Navy begins its 30th season in the Patriot League this weekend and Bucknell is starting its 31st year as a league member.
2 – This is the 15th time in which Navy and Bucknell are meeting in the first game of a league season. The Bison hold an 8-6 edge over the Mids in the 14 previous season-opening games played between the teams.
3 – Saturday's game will be Navy's first since defeating Georgetown on Dec. 1.
4 – Navy has won each of the last three games in the series with Bucknell. Those three decisions have been by a total of 16 points, with the two games played a year ago being determined by a total of five points.
5 – Navy has previously played Bucknell 33 times in Alumni Hall. That ties the Bison with Army for the most games Navy has played against an opponent in the facility.

Series History
• Navy and Bucknell first met 101 seasons ago –– Jan. 31, 1920, to be exact –– in Annapolis. The Mids posted a 15-13 victory over the Bison in that initial contest.
• Bucknell holds a 44-38 advantage in the all-time series with Navy. This includes a 35-23 lead in Patriot League regular season games.
• Navy leads the all-time series with Bucknell, 32-13, when the games are played in Annapolis. That number features a 17-12 edge for the Mids in league regular season games played in Maryland's capital city. Navy also has posted a 20-13 record against the Bison in games played in Alumni Hall (17-12 in league regular season games).
• Bucknell has posted a 29-6 record against Navy when the teams meet in Lewisburg, which includes a 23-6 lead in league games played there. Additionally, the Bison hold a 19-3 advantage in games played in Sojka Pavilion (15-3 in league regular season games).
• Navy has won each of the last three games played in the series. The Mids posted a 60-56 win last year in Lewisburg and a 60-59 victory a year ago in Annapolis.
• The Bucknell-Navy series enters the weekend ranked 16th for the most games played between Patriot League teams with 82 games played.
