Five Starting Notes
1 – Navy enters the weekend having played 2,498 games in program history.  That total ranks seventh among all Patriot League programs.
2 – Navy and American are entering their 20th season of both being Patriot League members.  Additionally, the Mids and the Eagles also were members of the ECAC South Conference / Colonial Athletic Association for seven years from 1984-85 through 1990-91.
3 – Navy and American have played 93 games against one another since first meeting 92 years ago.  That total ties the series for 11th place for the most games played between Patriot League teams.
4 – Navy and American have split the last 10 games played in the series.  Six of the those 10 games have been decided by no more than nine points.  The last five games have been decided by an average of 7.8 points per game.

Series History
•    Navy and American first met 92 seasons ago.  The Mids posted a 46-21 victory over the Eagles in that inaugural Feb. 2, 1929, contest that was played in Annapolis.
•    This will be the 60th season in which the teams will have faced each other in a game.
•    American holds a 49-44 advantage in the all-time series with Navy.  This includes a 28-10 lead in Patriot League regular season games.
•    Navy leads the all-time series with American, 29-21, when the games are played in Annapolis, but the Mids trail the Eagles, 12-7, in league regular season games played on The Yard.  American also has posted a 12-7 record against Navy in games played in Alumni Hall (all have been league regular season games).
•    American has posted a 24-13 record against Navy when the teams meet on AU's home floor, which includes an 16-3 lead in league games played there.  Additionally, the Eagles hold a 19-6 advantage over the Mids in games played in Bender Arena (16-3 in league regular season games).
•    American won both games it played against Navy last season, winning 62-54 in Annapolis and 71-62 in Washington, D.C.  
•    The American-Navy series enters the weekend tied for 11th for the most games played between league teams with 93 games played to date.
