ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) announced its weekly award winners and Navy's Dante Carrasco (Germantown, Tenn.) was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
 
Carrasco helped Navy record a 65-10 road victory over Alderson Broaddus to improve to 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in the South Division.
 
On special teams, the sophomore tallied 116 all-purpose yards on four returns. He tallied three punt returns for 21 yards. Following an Alderson Broaddus field goal, Carrasco took the ensuing kickoff and returned it 95 yards for a touchdown, marking the first kickoff return for a touchdown for the Midshipmen this season.
 
In addition, Carrasco aided a Navy defense that held Alderson Broaddus to 10 points and 203 yards of total offense, including -15 yards rushing. The Navy defense limited AB to 10 first downs (four via penalty, 0 rushing). Defensively, Carrasco recorded four tackles, including a pair of solo stops and two assisted tackles.
 
Navy returns to action on Friday, Oct. 22, as the Midshipmen welcome Cornell to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. and live stats will be available.
