ANNAPOLIS, Md. –– The Navy swimming and diving teams will face Patriot League competition for the first time this fall when the Mids (both teams are 3-1) play host to American (men are 0-3, women are 1-2), Bucknell (both teams are 3-0) and Lafayette (both teams are 1-1) Saturday at noon in Lejeune Hall.

Attending Saturday's Meet
Fans attending the meet need to park outside of the USNA and walk through the gate one visitors center. A photo ID needs to be displayed to enter. Those 17 and under need to be with an adult to gain access.
COVID-19 Policy
As per Department of Defense regulations, those who have not been vaccinated for COVID-19 must wear a mask at all times when on the USNA grounds and those who have been vaccinated have the option to wear a mask while outdoors but must wear a mask while indoors.
About Navy Men
Navy last took to the pool for a competition October 23 when the Mids posted a 201-88 victory over UMBC. The Mids have also lost to Penn State (181-119) and defeated Johns Hopkins (200-92) and Towson (191-107) this season.
Navy swimmers have posted wins in 34 individual events this season. A total of 13 Mids have won at least one event.
Garrett McGovern (So., Nashville, Tenn.) leads the way with seven wins, which places him one victory in front of the six won by
Caleb Mauldin (Sr., Chesapeake, Va.).
About Navy Women
Navy improved its record to 3-1 on the year with a 177-105 win over UMBC two weeks ago. That capped a busy three-week opening stretch to the season that saw the Mids lose at Penn State (209-91) and tally home victories against Johns Hopkins (196-87) and Towson (170-122).
Members of the Navy women's team also have produced 34 individual event victories thus far this season. Those wins have been posted by 14 different swimmers. Leading the team in wins are
Sydney Harrington (Sr., Fairfax, Va.) with eight and
Martina Thomas (Sr., Fayetteville, Ark.) with five.
About American Men
The Eagles have suffered losses this year to Loyola (252-48), Georgetown (129-119) and Howard (137-86).
Navy and American last met in 2019 in Annapolis. The Mids posted a 182-66 victory over the Eagles in that meet.
About American Women
American recorded its first win of the season Saturday when it posted a 144-79 victory over Howard. The two losses for the Eagles this year were to Loyola (178-128) and Georgetown (131-123).
The teams last met two years ago in Lejeune Hall. Navy recorded a 254-35 victory over American.
About Bucknell Men
The Bison have opened the season with victories over Holy Cross (178-111), Boston U. (177-123) and Binghamton (169-132).
Navy defeated Bucknell, 175.5-109.5, when the teams last competed against each other two years ago in Annapolis.
About Bucknell Women
Bucknell has posted wins this year over Holy Cross (175-117), Boston U. (163-137) and Binghamton (221-79).
Navy defeated the Bison, 213-87, two years ago in Annapolis.
About Lafayette Men
Lafayette began this season with a 193-100 loss to Loyola, but last week posted a 144-70 win over Colgate.
Navy recorded a 184-84 victory over Lafayette two seasons ago in Lejeune Hall.
About Lafayette Women
Loyola recorded a 197-103 win over Lafayette in the first meet of the season for the Leopards. Lafayette rebounded with a 136-111 victory over Colgate Saturday.
