ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Navy's
Lauren Walsh will compete in the first NCAA Swimming Championship of her career Thursday when she competes in the 100 breaststroke at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.
Walsh advanced to the NCAA Championship by winning the event at the Patriot League Championship with a finals time of 59.78. A time of 1:00.30 for conference champions was required to earn an automatic berth to the national championship.
Thursday's schedule features trial heats starting at 10 a.m. followed by the championship finals beginning at 6 p.m. The 100 breaststroke will be the fourth event of the session to be contested.
