ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy track and field student-athletes Brahmir Vick (Middletown, Del.) and Sabrina Sutter (Shingletown, Calif.) earned a pair of weekly honors for their performances at the Navy Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 4 at Wesley A. Brown Field House. Vick was named the NAAA Athlete of the Week presented by Northrop Grumman, while Sutter was selected Patriot League Female Track Athlete of the Week.

Vick posted a pair of IC4A qualifying times in the 60m hurdles. The sophomore recorded an IC4A time of 8.07 in the prelims before trimming the time to 7.99 in the finals to win the event. Vick became the second student-athlete in Navy history to run a sub-eight-second time in the hurdles, joining school-record holder Clayton Thompson ('21).

Sutter posted an ECAC qualifying time of 24.61 in the 200m dash, tying for the 10th best performance in Navy history. Her 200m time was the fifth-fastest in NCAA DI during the opening weekend of the season. In addition, the junior ran the 60m dash and the opening leg of the 4x400m relay for the Midshipmen.

Navy track and field returns to action on Saturday, January 15 as the Midshipmen take on Princeton in a dual meet at Wesley A. Brown in Annapolis. Live results will be available throughout the meet.
