Salinas Selected Second Team ACWPC All-American

Isaac Salinas becomes the third Midshipmen to earn Second Team All-American honors.

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the 2020-21 Men's Water Polo All-America teams and Navy attacker Isaac Salinas (Spring City, Pa.) was selected to the second team. Salinas becomes the third Midshipmen to earn Second Team All-American honors and the first to claim the distinction since Aaron Recko in 2007.
 
Salinas, who was an honorable mention selection in 2019, becomes the eleventh player in program history to earn multiple All-American honors and the first since Carl Dowzicky (2013, '15).
 
Earlier in the year, Salinas was named First Team Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference-East Region All-Conference, marking his third consecutive all-conference selection.
 
This season, Salinas led the team with 23 points on a team-high 20 goals scored, while chipping three assists. He played in six of seven games on the season, tallying six steals and six ejections drawn. Salinas' six steals ranked third on the team, while his six ejections drawn was the second most on the year.
 
For his career, Salinas has 204 total points on 163 total goals and 41 assists. He is the 20th player in program history to eclipse 200 total points.
