NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) announced its weekly award winners and Navy's
Mychal Golden (Jonesboro, Ark.) earned Special Teams Player of the Week distinction.
Golden helped Navy to a 52-0 victory at home against Chestnut Hill on Friday evening. The sophomore kicker finished the day with 10 points, converting all eight kicks that he attempted. He was a perfect 7-for-7 on PAT attempts, while going 1-for-1 in field goal attempts. Golden drilled all seven PAT attempts in the game, before nailing a 31-yard field goal attempt to provide the final score.
For the year, Golden is 3-for-4 on field goal attempts and 14-for-14 on PATs for 23 total points.
Navy returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 2, as the Midshipmen travel to West Point, N.Y. for the annual Star Game, which is part of the overall Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. The game will be live streamed and live stats will be available throughout the game.
