Five Starting Notes
1 – Navy and Lehigh first met 111 seasons ago. That ranks second to Loyola (112 seasons) for the oldest first game against a Patriot League opponent in Navy history. Additionally, this is the 51st season in which the teams will meet, which ranks fourth for the most seasons in which the Mids have played a league team.
2 – Navy and Lehigh have each played Bucknell, Colgate and Holy Cross this season. The Mountain Hawks have posted a 3-0 record against those teams and the Mids have compiled a 2-1 record (lost to Colgate). Each team also faced Virginia in non-league games, with Navy defeating the Cavaliers and Lehigh losing.
3 – Navy's average margin of victory during its four-game winning streak over Lehigh is 8.5 points per game. Three of those four games were decided by single digits and a total of 19 points.
4 –
John Carter Jr. enters Navy's two-game homestand with 987 career points. The last Navy player to score his 1,000th point in Alumni Hall was Jordan Sugars on Feb. 26, 2011.Â
5 – Navy's bench players have outscored the team's starters in two of the last four games.
