All-Time Series
Navy holds the all-time series lead against Cornell, 60-13-2 (.813). The Midshipmen are 30-4-1 all-time against the Big Red in Annapolis.
The Mids opened the series with 14 consecutive victories that included eight shutouts. The 14 straight victories is the longest win streak of the series. Following a 1-0 forfeit victory last season, Navy is currently on a 13-game winning streak against Cornell. The Midshipmen have won 28 of the last 30 contests between the two schools.
Sprint Football Earns Pair of CSFL Weekly Accolades (Oct. 3)
The CSFL announced its weekly award winners and Navy earned a pair of accolades as
Alex Totta (Kansas City, Kan.) was named Offensive Player of the Week and
Nadir Emlemdi (Cincinnati, Ohio) was tabbed Special Teams Player of the Week.
Totta had an incredible night running the football in Navy's 26-13 road win over Caldwell. The senior tallied 283 yards on 28 carries (10.1 yards per carry) with a pair of touchdowns. He finished eight yards shy of the Navy school record for rushing yards in a game (291). In addition, Totta ended the night with a 21-yard score and a 74-yard jaunt into the end zone to help lift the Midshipmen to the victory.
Emlemdi is a defensive back who was able to make a big impact on Navy special teams in Midshipmen's victory over Caldwell. Leading 7-0, the Mids allowed a touchdown, but, on the ensuing point after try,
Paul Kuehler (Roanoke, Va.) blocked the extra point try by Caldwell and Emlemdi returned it for a two-point conversion. In addition, Emlemdi finished the game with four tackles and an interception.

CALDWELL, N.J. – Navy posted a 26-13 victory on the road against Caldwell at Bonnel Field in Caldwell, N.J. The Midshipmen used a blocked PAT, a scoop and score, and a pair of 20-plus yard touchdown runs to remain undefeated on the year.
Navy used a handful of big plays to post the victory. Offensive team captain
Alex Totta (Kansas City, Kan.) scored a pair of touchdowns on runs of 21 and 74 yards.
Paul Kuehler (Roanoke, Va.) blocked an extra point try by Caldwell and
Nadir Emlemdi (Cincinnati, Ohio) returned it for a two-point conversion. In addition,
Devyn Martin (Las Vegas, Nev.) sacked the Cougars' quarterback, forcing a fumble.
Angelo Labbe (Los Angeles, Calif.) picked up the loose ball and returned it 63 yards for a touchdown.
Jack Costigan (Middletown, N.J.) led the defense with 10 total tackles, while
Major Kent (Dallas, Texas) and
Trent Parker (Washington, D.C.) finished with nine and eight, respectively. Parker returned a fumble for nine yards, while Labbe's 63-yard return was a crucial play for the Mids.

Quarterback
Brandon Atwood (Gentry, Ark.) finished the game 13-for-25 for 101 yards with an interception. He added 34 yards on the ground.
Andrew Margiotta (Vienna, Va.) led the receiving corps with a team-high four receptions for a team-best 42 yards. Totta added a pair of receptions for 20 yards, while Margiotta churned out 33 yards on the ground on three carries.
Mychal Golden (Jonesboro, Ark.) finished the game with six points, going 3-for-3 in point after attempts and adding a 36-yard field goal.
Sprint Football Tradition
The Navy sprint football team has 38 Collegiate Sprint Football League championships (31 outright) in the program's 76-year history – the most among any school in league history. The team boasts an all-time winning percentage of .834 with an all-time record of 390-74-9, including an 15-1 (.938) mark in CSFL South Division play (divisions started in 2017).
