ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy sprint football team (6-0) travels to Mansfield, Pa. to take on Mansfield (5-2) on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at Karl Van Norman Field, wrapping up the 2022 regular season.

All-Time Series
Navy holds an 11-0 (1.000) lead in the all-time series against Mansfield. The two teams have met five times in Mansfield, Pa. with the Midshipmen claiming five road victories. The last time the Mids and Mountaineers met in Mansfield, Navy posted a 41-14 win.
Last season, the two teams met in Annapolis with the Midshipmen notching a 46-3 victory on Senior Day.
2022 CSFL Championship
With a 41-0 victory over Alderson Broaddus last weekend, Navy won the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) South Division and secured a spot in the 2022 CSFL Championship game. Since the League split into divisions in 2017, Navy has played in three CSFL Championship games (2018, '19, '21), winning a pair of titles (2018, '21).
Navy will play the winner of the CSFL North Division. Army (5-1, 3-0) hosts Caldwell (5-1, 3-0) on Friday night. The winner will win the North Division and advance to play the Midshipmen in the championship.
The Midshipmen will host the title game on Sunday, Nov. 13 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis at 12:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and live stats will be available.
Labbe Tabbed CSFL Defensive Player of the Week
The Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) announced its weekly award winners and Navy's
Angelo Labbe (Los Angeles, Calif.) was tabbed CSFL Defensive Player of the Week, helping lead the Midshipmen to a win over Alderson Broaddus.
Labbe anchored the Navy defense that posted a 41-0 shutout victory over Alderson Broaddus to clinch a spot in the 2022 CSFL Championship game. The junior led the charge with five tackles – all solo – including 4.0 sacks for a total of 20 yards. Labbe's first four tackles in the game were sacks, while also adding a tackle following an AB reception.

PHILIPPI, W.Va. – The Navy sprint football team shutout Alderson Broaddus in a Collegiate Sprint Football League South Division matchup. With the win, the Midshipmen secured a spot in the 2022 CSFL Championship game.
The Midshipmen outgained the Battlers, 436-79. The Mids tallied 26 first downs compared to five by the home team. Navy finished with 253 yards rushing, while holding Alderson Broaddus to -21 yards on the ground. The Mids finished with 183 passing yards compared to 100 by the Battlers.
Senior offensive team captain
Alex Totta (Kansas City, Kan.) led the ground attack with 123 total yards rushing with a pair of touchdowns.
Victor Otero (Acton, Mass) and
Brandon Atwood (Gentry, Ark.) also added rushing scores. Otero finishing with 11 carries for 52 yards and the score, while Atwood tallied seven carries for 34 yards and a TD.
Atwood commanded the air attack for the Midshipmen. The quarterback finished the game 10-for-13 for 134 yards through the air with a touchdown.
Jobe Long (Bay City, Mich.) was Atwood's primary receiver, pulling down a team-best five catches for a team-high 31 yards.
Andrew Margiotta (Vienna, Va.) tallied four catches for 27 yards.
Jack Masterson (Reno, Nev.) made the most of his one catch, finding the end zone on the 25-yard reception.
Defensively, Navy pitched its second shutout of the season. The Midshipmen tallied 37 total tackles, including 8.0 tackles for loss and 6.0 sacks. The Mids intercepted a pass, while breaking up three passes with a block.
Angelo Labbe (Los Angeles, Calif.) led the charge with five tackles – all solo – including 4.0 sacks for a total of 20 yards.
Jonathan Swift (Philadelphia, Pa.),
Devyn Martin (Las Vegas, Nev.), and
Andrew Sowinski (Niceville, Fla.) finished with a TFL apiece with Swift registering a sack.
Chris Whiteman (Lehighton, Pa.) intercepted a pass, while
David Niski (Shelton, Conn.) blocked a kick.
Sprint Football Tradition
The Navy sprint football team has 38 Collegiate Sprint Football League championships (31 outright) in the program's 76-year history – the most among any school in league history. The team boasts an all-time winning percentage of .835 with an all-time record of 393-74-9, including an 17-1 (.944) mark in CSFL South Division play (divisions started in 2017).
