ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy track and field team travels to West Point, N.Y. to take on rival Army on Saturday, April 2 at Shea Stadium in the annual Army-Navy Outdoor Star Meet as part of the overall Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA. America's Meet begins with the field events at 11:00 a.m. with the running events slated for 1:30 p.m. The meet will be broadcast on ESPN+ starting at 1:30 p.m.

Meet Scoring
Scoring is 5-3-2-1 for individual events (5-3 for relays). Each team will have three athletes competing in each individual event with two individuals scoring per institution. If a school "sweeps" an event (1-2-3) they win the event 8-3. With 17 individual events and two relays, there are 203 total points up for grabs so 102 or more points wins the meet.
Series
On the men's side, Navy holds a 50-44 overall advantage in the overall outdoor series, including a 24-23 mark in West Point. The women's team is 20-14 all-time against the Black Knights in the outdoor series, but are 7-9 in West Point.
The men's team has won nine consecutive outdoor Star Meets, while the women have won six in a row.

Jamie Cook is 13-3 all-time in Army-Navy Star Meets with a 6-0 mark in outdoor competition. Under Cook, Navy has swept the outdoor stars in 2018, 2019, and 2021.

Boamah Named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week (March 29, 2022)
The Patriot League announced its weekly Track and Field honorees and Navy's
Joshua Boamah (San Diego, Calif.) was selected as the Field Athlete of the Week for his efforts over the weekend at the Navy Spring Meet. During the meet, Boamah registered IC4A qualifying marks in both the shot put and hammer throw, winning both events. The sophomore won the shot put with a throw of 15.96m (52-04.50), while winning the hammer throw with a distance of 55.59m (182-04).
Last Outdoor Meet vs. Army (April 3, 2021)
The Navy track and field team posted a sweep of the 2021 Army-Navy Outdoor Star Meet, which is part of the overall Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA. The men's team opened the day with a 103-100 victory, while the women's team claimed a 111.5-88.5 win. For the men, it was the ninth consecutive outdoor victory in the series for Navy, while the women claimed their sixth consecutive outdoor Star.
On the men's side, Navy won nine of the 19 events, while earning maximum points in five events. The women's team won 12 events, including max points in seven events. In addition, the Mids set a pair of school records, while notching five additional performances that rank in the program's all-time top 10.
Senior captain
Clayton Thompson (Corpus Christi, Texas) tied his own school record in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.98 to finish first in the event. In the javelin, Emma Foster (Poteet, Texas) registered a school-record distance of 51.97m (170-06) to break her previous mark by 2.49m.
Senior captain Sam Orie (Greensburg, Pa.) won the shot put with a distance of 14.73m (48-04.00), which ranked second in Navy history. Jessica Nangle (South Hampton, Pa.) clocked a time of 16.56.56 in 5,000m, which is fourth best in program history, while the Navy women's 4x400m relay team posted the eighth best performance in school history with a time of 3:46.88.
Thomas Johnstone (Los Gatos, Calif.) registered a height of 5.17m (16-11.50) in pole vault to win the event with the ninth best jump in school history, while Breanna Mealer (Severn, Md.) tied for the 10th best mark all-time in Navy history in the long jump with a distance of 5.75m (18-10.50).
