BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Patriot League announced it 2022 All-Academic Team on Monday and the Navy women's rowing team was at the forefront of the release with a league-high three honorees. Seniors
Hanna Prince (Buffalo, N.Y.) and
Sky Schork (Villanova, Pa.), and junior
Millie Oldham (Nashville, Tenn.) were selected for their success on the water and in the classroom.
The 2021 Patriot League Women's Rowing Scholar-Athlete of the Year and 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-District II honoree, Prince adds to her collection of awards with her second career Patriot League All-Academic Team nod. Graduating this Friday morning, she completed her academic career in Annapolis with a 3.91 GPA as a cyber operations major and will join the fleet as a naval aviator. Amongst her fellow classmates, Prince finished her studies ranked in the top-60 in both the Overall Order of Merit and Military Order of Merit. Throughout her four years rowing with the Mids, Prince has won gold with the first varsity eight crew at the 2021 Patriot League Championship and silver with the second varsity eight at this year's league championship. She's twice been named as a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete and is in line to do so again in 2022.
Oldham is also a two-time member of the Patriot League All-Academic Team as she earned a spot in 2021 as a sophomore. A key member of Navy's first varsity eight crew for the second straight year, she helped the Mids capture a bronze at this year's Patriot League Championship. Oldham has been selected to the All-Patriot League First Team in 2021 and 2022 for her efforts on the water. A chemistry major with a 3.72 GPA, she has been named to the Dant's List in each of her first six semesters and was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2020 and 2021. The Nashville, Tenn. native currently stands top-10 within the Naval Academy's Class of 2023 in Military Order of Merit.
Schork is a first-time honoree on the Patriot League All-Academic Team. Rowing with Navy's first varsity during her senior year, Schork was in the bow seat when the Mids competed at the 2022 Patriot League Championship on May 13. Finishing third in the grand final that afternoon, she completed her collegiate rowing career with three medals at the year-end league championship as she won gold with Navy's 2V8 as a freshman in 2019 and gold with the Mids' V4 at the 2021 regatta. In the classroom, Schork will graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering and will commission as a pilot in the U.S. Navy. Throughout her studies she posted a 3.86 GPA and finished top-70 in both the Overall Order of Merit and Military Order of Merit for the Class of 2022. Schork has been recognized by the CRCA as a National Scholar-Athlete in 2020 and 2021.
To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
