The NWCA All-Star Classic is not a collegiate event and won't count toward records or RPI.
The Belleville, Ill., native is the 16th Mid to compete in the NWCA All-Star Classic and the first since Joe Baker (133), who wrestled in an exhibition match in 2008.
Koderhandt owns a 5-1 record and has defeated three ranked opponents this season. He recently placed second at the Navy Classic last Saturday.
The NWCA All-Star Classic began in 1967 and was a staple of the college season until 2017. After a four-year absence, it returned in 2022 in Austin, Texas. Ten men's collegiate exhibitions, as well as four women's freestyle matches are scheduled for the 2023 edition. The projected lineup
features 16 wrestlers who garnered All-America accolades at the 2023 NCAA Championship. Additionally, six participants were ranked No. 1 in their respective weight classes in the latest InterMat rankings (11-14).
