NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) announced the 2023 All-Academic Team on Thursday morning and 24 student-athletes from the Navy sprint football team were recognized on the 122-person team.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore (athletically and academically) and post a cumulative grade point average of 3.20.
Navy led the way with 24 total student-athletes recognized, followed by Cornell with 23. Army had 20 student-athletes on the list, while Penn rounded out the top half of the conference with 18.
Senior
Patrick Palm (Landenberg, Pa.) recorded a perfect 4.00 grade point average to highlight the Midshipmen honorees.
Navy finished the 2023 season 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the CSFL South Division. The Midshipmen won their fifth straight division title and third straight CSFL Championship. The Mids tallied 277 points on the year (34.6 points per game), while holding opponents to 86 points (10.8 ppg). The win over Army in the title game gave Navy its 40th conference championship and 33nd outright title.
