NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) announced its 2023 postseason list of All-League honorees. The Navy sprint football team had 14 different players earn All-CSFL accolades, with quarterback Brandon Atwood being named the CSFL Offensive Player of the Year. The Midshipmen tallied nine First Team All-CSFL honors with three players being named to the second team and a pair claiming honorable mention distinction.
 
All eight teams in the CSFL were represented on the All-CSFL squad. The All-CSFL team was selected by the head coaches in the league and is split into first team, second team and honorable mention recognitions.
 
Atwood, who was also named 2023 First Team All-CSFL as a quarterback, was tabbed the Offensive Player of the Year. The senior quarterback played and started all eight games, tallying 1,186 yards through the air, finishing the year 97-for-151 with 16 touchdown passes compared to just four interceptions. Additionally, Atwood led the team in rushing, netting 465 yards on 80 attempts for a 5.8 average per attempt with four touchdowns. The Gentry, Ark. native tallied 1,651 total yards of offense, notching 206.4 yards per game, while being a part of 20 of Navy's 35 total touchdowns on the season (57.1 percent).
 
Offensively, running back Victor Otero, wide receiver Andrew Margiotta, offensive lineman Liam Brown, and offensive lineman Patrick Palm joined Atwood on the first-team, while defensive lineman Angelo Labbe, defensive lineman David Niski, linebacker Jack Costigan, and defensive back Nadir Emlemdi were first-team defensive selections.
 
Running back Tyler Massena and wide receiver Kai Sasaki joined linebacker Devyn Martin on the second team. In addition, wide receiver Jobe Long and linebacker Mitchell Waters earned honorable mention accolades.
 
Navy finished the 2023 season 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the CSFL South Division. The Midshipmen won their fifth straight division title and third straight CSFL Championship. The Mids tallied 277 points on the year (34.6 points per game), while holding opponents to 86 points (10.8 ppg). The win over Army in the title game gave Navy its 40th conference championship and 33nd outright title.
