ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy intercollegiate sailing team traveled north for two away events this past weekend, seeing the Midshipmen finish fourth in both New London, Conn., and Ithaca, N.Y.

The Coast Guard Academy-hosted Vietor Trophy featured a field of 14 schools from all over the country making the trip to New London. A gusty forecast for Saturday and strong northerly breeze on Sunday led to organizers deciding to race only one fleet of boats at a time, but the good conditions allowed for 12 races to still be completed per division.

At the Finger Lakes Women's Team Race in Ithaca, a small field of four teams completed a quadruple round-robin regatta in one day.

Navy returns to the water on April 8-9 at the Prosser Trophy with the MAISA Team Race Championship on the line in Kings Point, N.Y.
