ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy women's swimming and diving team will close its dual meet season Saturday when the Mids (5-3) play host to James Madison (3-2) at 11 a.m. in Lejeune Hall. The team will hold its Senor Day ceremony for the Class of 2024 starting at 10:40 a.m.

Attending the Meet
Vehicle access to the USNA is limited to those with a Department of Defense approved identification card. Everyone else must park outside of the USNA and walk through the gate one visitors center. Those ages 18 and older must provide a government-issued ID card to gain entry and those ages 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Navy Recap
Navy suffered two of its three losses on the season last weekend when the Mids traveled to South Bend, Ind., to face Notre Dame and Princeton. The Irish won a 291-62 meet against the Mids and the No. 24 Tigers defeated Navy by the score of 295-58. Navy's additional loss this season was in its season-opening meet at Penn State.
James Madison Preview
James Madison has posted a 3-2 record in dual meets this season. The Dukes have recorded wins over Marshall, George Mason and Fairfield and dropped October meets to Liberty and East Carolina.
2022-23 Recap
Navy won a narrow 151-149 victory over James Madison one year ago in Harrisonburg, Va. Each team won eight events, there were five lead changes in the meet and the Mids won the last five individual swimming events to take a 147-136 leading heading into the final event, the 200 freestyle relay. Navy needed to finish in either first or second place in the relay to secure the victory. The Mids placed second in the race.
Navy returns all but one of its individual event winners from last season.
Cameron Horner won the 200 and 500 free events,
Caroline Irwin won both butterfly races,
Gabi Baldwin placed first in the 200 back and
Lauren Walsh earned wins in the 200 breast and 200 IM events.
James Madison also brings back all except one of its individual event winners from a year ago. Abby Maguire won the 1000 free, Madison Cottrell placed first in the 100 back, Alexa Holloway won the three-meter diving event and Madison Yager was the winner on the one-meter diving board.
The Dukes also won both relay races in 2023.
Series History
Navy holds a 10-9 edge in the series with James Madison. Last season's meeting was the first between the teams in 12 years and Saturday's dual will be the first in the series to be contested in Annapolis in 14 seasons.
