All-Time Series
Navy holds the all-time series record, 49-40-1 (.550). The Midshipmen are 21-17 (.553) against the Black Knights in Annapolis, while holding a 16-16-1 (.500) mark in West Point. The Midshipmen and the Black Knights have met in the CSFL Championship game the last five times it was contested with the Mids claiming four titles.
The Midshipmen have defeated the Black Knights in five of the last seven meetings between the two teams, including the last three CSFL Championship games.
CSFL Championship
With a 31-0 victory over Penn, Navy clinched the CSFL South Division and secured a spot in the 2024 CSFL Championship game. Since the League split into divisions in 2017, Navy has played in five CSFL Championship games (2018, '19, '21, '22, '23), winning four titles (2018, '21, '22, '23), while Army has played in all six championship games with a pair of titles (2017, '19).
Sprint Football Tradition
The Navy sprint football team has 40 Collegiate Sprint Football League championships (33 outright) in the program's 78-year history – the most among any school in league history. The team boasts an all-time winning percentage of .837 with an all-time record of 408-76-9, including an 23-1 (.958) mark in CSFL South Division play (divisions started in 2017).
Tyler Cox Named CSFL Defensive Player of the Week (Nov. 12, 2024)
The CSFL announced its weekly award winners and Navy senior defensive back
Tyler Cox was recognized as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Midshipmen's 28-14 road victory over Caldwell.
Cox helped anchor a Navy defense that picked off four passes and broke up an additional three pass attempts at Caldwell on Saturday evening. He notched a season-high two interceptions in the game, bringing his season total to three. The senior safety registered both INTs in the second quarter, helping thwart scoring attempts by the Cougars. In addition, Cox added a pair of tackles, holding Caldwell to just four total yards on his two stops.

Navy improved to 6-1 on the season and 3-0 in the CSFL South Division with a 28-14 victory over Caldwell at Bonnel Field in West Caldwell, N.J. The Midshipmen broke a scoreless tie with 33 seconds remaining in the first half and proceeded to score 28 straight en route to a 14-point victory.
Navy finished the game with 201 total yards on 58 yards rushing and 143 yards passing, while Caldwell tallied 292 passing yards with 50 yards rushing for 342 total yards. The Mids' defense recorded four interceptions to thwart the Cougars' offense and set up the Midshipmen with excellence field position.
Luke Wagner finished the game 11-for-20 for 114 yards with three touchdowns. Backup quarterback
Luke O'Connell completed one pass for 29 yards in relief.
Biamungu Nkere led the team with three receptions for 53 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Chris Stumpf also finished with three catches, tallying 21 yards and a touchdown.
Jackson Suddath hauled in a pair of receptions for 47 yards, while
Jake Berger added three catches for 24 yards.
Broderick Freeman led the team with 26 yards rushing, while
Hunter Gennicks added 24 yards on the ground.
Defensively, Navy finished the game with 12 tackles for loss, five sacks, four interceptions, and three pass breakups. The Midshipmen held the Cougars on 12 of 19 third down attempts and six of eight fourth down tries.
Jake Wolinski led the way with 12 total tackles, including five solo stops, and 1.5 tackles for loss.
Sam Stotler added nine stops with 1.5 tackles for loss and a half a sack.
David Niski notched six stops including 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
Major Kent and
Mick Tabor joined Wolinski and Stotler with 1.5 TFLs Tabor and
Simon Burger were credited with sacks with Stotler combining for a sack.
Tyler Cox and Seamus Carrasco both picked off a pair of passes, while Carrasco added a pass breakup. Burger and
Sean Bettwy also broke up passes on the night.

Navy dropped a 17-3 decision at home to Army at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in the Star Game, which is part of the overall Army-Navy Star Series, presented by USAA. The Midshipmen were unable to sustain any momentum in the game, fumbling five times, including twice in their final three possessions.
Navy finished the game with 230 yards of offense on 144 yards rushing and 86 yards passing. Army finished with 319 total yards on 85 yards on the ground and 234 yards through the air.
The Midshipmen fumbled the ball five times in the game, losing four fumbles. The Mids did cause a pair of Black Knight turnovers, picking off a pair of passes. Navy was penalized four times for 43 yards, including one that set up Army's first score. The Black Knights were whistled for five penalties for 35 yards, including three delay of game flags.
Hunter Gennicks once again led the offensive attack for Navy. The sophomore carried the ball 16 times for a team-high 67 yards while adding a catch for an additional three yards.
Luke Wagner added 54 yards on the ground, while finishing 9-for-20 for 86 yards through the air.
Biamungu Nkere led the team with 57 yards receiving on four receptions with
Chris Stumpf adding 21 yards on two catches.
Defensively,
Jake Wolinski led the team with 12 total tackles, including six solo stops. He and
David Niski tied with a team-high 1.5 tackles for loss, while Wolinski added an interception.
Tyler Cox picked off a pass and finished with nine stops.
Major Kent and
Mick Tabor added seven tackles apiece with Kent joining
Simon Burger,
Seamas Carrasco, and
Andrew Bailey finished with TFLs.

Navy avenged its only loss of the season with a 28-23 victory against Army in the 2023 Collegiate Sprint Football League Championship at Shea Stadium in West Point, N.Y. The win was the third consecutive title for the Midshipmen.
The two teams were fairly balanced with Army holding a slight 278 to 269 advantage in total yards. The Black Knights held the edge in passing yards, finishing with 236 compared to 96 by the Midshipmen. On the ground, the Mids exerted their dominance, rushing for 173 yards compared to 42 by the home team.
Quarterback
Brandon Atwood led the team with 109 yards on the ground, while adding 96 yards through the air on 11-for-20 passing with a pair of touchdowns.
Tyler Massena added 23 yards rushing, while
Manny Walt contributed 16.
Jobe Long mad his one carry of the game count as the senior ran for 10 yards on a fake field goal for a first down to set up a touchdown. Long added 19 yards receiving on a team-high four carries.
Kai Sasaki had a pair of catches for 44 yards and a touchdown, while
Hunter Gennicks added two receptions for 17 yards and a score.
Chris Stumpf also caught two passes for 16 yards.
Dante Carrasco led the team with 11 tackles, while
Jake Wolinski added double-digit stops (10) as well.
Tyler Cox and Devin Martin added nine tackles apiece. Martin had a team-high two tackles for loss with a sack, while Carrasco added a sack.
Mitchell Waters blocked an Army punt that Cox returned 15 yards for a touchdown.
