ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Maintaining its grip of 10th place on the team leaderboard, the Navy women's tennis team wrapped up the second round of the NCAA's Bermuda Run Regional on Tuesday afternoon.
Posting a team round of 11-over par 299 on Tuesday, the Midshipmen brought their tournament score to 25-over par 601 at the par-72, 6,297-yard Bermuda Run Country Club in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Regional host Wake Forest remained at the front of the team standings (18-under par 558), while Bailey Davis of Tennessee used a round of 2-under par 72 to stay in first place on the individual leaderboard at 10-under par 134.
Sitting tied for 37th heading into Wednesday's final round, freshman
Emma Tang stayed Navy's top golfer with a round of 76 to pull her two-round score to 4-over par 148, while senior
Stephanie Lee shot the team's best score of the day with a 74 to move up into 43rd at 7-over par 151. Also sitting in 43rd at the end of Tuesday was sophomore
Sue Lee, who posted a 75 in the second round to put her 36-hole score at 7-over par 151.
Pulling into a tie for 47th, rookie
Keira Howard notched a round of 75 to improve her score to 8-over par 152. Sophomore
Hallie Brisco also bounced back with her own round of 75 on Tuesday, rising up to tie for 57th on the leaderboard at 11-over par 155.
The team round of 299 marks the lowest round at NCAAs in program history.
Navy closes out the Bermuda Run Regional on Wednesday morning, with the third and final round teeing off at 8 a.m.
