ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Leaving its home confines for just the third time this season, the Navy men's soccer team (3-4-4, 0-2-1 PL) continues its Patriot League schedule against Colgate (4-3-3, 0-1-2 PL) on Saturday afternoon at Beyer-Small '76 Field in Hamilton, N.Y.
 
Set for a 12-noon opening kick against the host Raiders, Saturday's contest marks the second of four-straight league games for the Midshipmen, who will look to move up the league standings as the calendar turns to October.
 
Last Time Out
With a morning opening kick at home, Navy could not use the early start to its advantage Saturday, as the Mids suffered a 1-0 loss to Patriot League foe Lehigh at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility … Despite a six-save effort from senior goalkeeper Robert Eaton to keep Navy in the game, the Mountain Hawks took the lead on Noah Levy's 24th-minute goal and were able to thwart a second-half adjustment from the Mids to secure Lehigh's second league win of the season … The result snapped a four-game unbeaten streak by the Mids in the series.
 
Navy Notes
The current Navy seniors have gone 20-25-22 in their time in Annapolis, going 9-10-11 in league play and making a pair of Patriot League Tournaments, including winning the 2022 league title as freshmen … The Mids are 6-1-3 all-time when A.J. Schuetz records a point, while Navy has tallied a 5-1-3 mark when Andrew Schug scores … Navy is also 2-1-1 when Wyatt Stevens nets a goal … With Will Cawlfield's tally against William & Mary, Navy needs one other rookie to register a goal to have multiple freshmen score in a season for the first time since the fall 2020/spring 2021 campaign, when both David Jackson and Baba Kallie scored as plebes … Only two non-senior goalkeepers have started a game in net for Navy since 2019: Pierce Holbrook (2022, 2023) and Dylan Carmody (2025).

The Raiders have settled into the season at 4-3-3 overall and 0-1-2 in league play after a four-game unbeaten start to the campaign … Since opening league action with a loss at American, Colgate responded with a non-conference win over UAlbany and a scoreless draw against defending league champion Bucknell, followed by a loss at Syracuse and another scoreless draw at Lafayette … Cole Ramey leads the Raiders with three goals on the season, ranking fourth in the league … Eric Widrick has been among the best goalkeepers in the Patriot League, posting league-leading marks with 47 total saves, 4.7 saves per game and six shutouts … Widrick's six shutouts rank fifth in the nation, while the 47 saves stand sixth nationally … The Raiders rank first in the league and 13th nationally with a 0.600 shutout percentage, while the team's 0.800 goals against average also paces the Patriot League … Colgate holds a 3-0-1 record at home this season, allowing just one goal in the four home matches … Blake Pipkin earned a spot on the 2025 Preseason All-Patriot League Team alongside teammate Cason Stafford, as both were garnered All-Patriot League honors last season.

Navy is 15-16-7 in the all-time series with Colgate, posting a draw or win in five of the last six meetings … The Mids are 6-12-2 in 20 trips up to Hamilton, but Navy has had more success recently by winning two of its last three trips to Colgate … Navy's last regular-season game at Colgate was a 1-0 win on Oct. 28, 2023, as David Jackson finished a Jason Aoyama cross just before halftime and Pierce Holbrook notched the two-save shutout … The Mids' most recent trip to Colgate came a week later, falling 2-0 in the Patriot League Quarterfinals on Nov. 4, 2023 after Aidan Davock scored a brace for the Raiders … The two teams played to a 2-2 draw in their lone 2024 meeting on Sept. 28, as goals from Nate Stewart and Charlie Kriel helped the Mids battle back from an early deficit.
