ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Women's diver
Mackenzie Kim has been named this week's Naval Academy Athletic Association Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Northrop Grumman.
Kim was selected as the Patriot League Women's Diver of the Year after she won both boards to help Navy win the program's 13th league championship in a row at last week's league meet.
She first scored 323.90 points to win the three-meter final by 15 points. Â Kim had totaled an event-best 339.45 points in the preliminary round of diving.
The junior then tallied 296.30 points to win the one-meter final by 5.4 points. Â She was the top diver in the preliminaries with a score of 300.15 points.
Each of her scores are the highest by a Patriot League diver this season.
Kim was a second-team all-league selection in 2024 after she placed second on the one-meter board and eighth in the three-meter event at last year's championship. Â She also had placed third on the three meter and fourth on the one meter at the 2023 league meet.
