ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Inside Lacrosse announced it Midseason All-Americans on Thursday morning and Navy attacker
Emily Messinese was named to the list as an honorable mention selection. It is the second consecutive year that Messinese has earned the honor.
Midway through the season, Messinese leads the team with 45 points on 30 goals with a team-high 15 assists. Through 11 games, the senior team captain has registered nine multiple-goal games, including seven hat tricks. Additionally, she is second on the team with 35 draw controls, while adding 10 ground balls and four caused turnovers. Messinese leads the team with 12 free-position goals, while being credited with three game-winning goals this season.
Messinese has played and started 54 games in her career. She is a two-time First Team All-Patriot League performer, earning All-American honors from USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse following her junior year. In her career, Messinese has 197 points on 152 goals and 45 assists, while adding 173 draw controls, 65 ground balls, and 25 caused turnovers.
