ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Coming off a strong finish in a loaded Terps Invitational field, the Navy women's golf team is set to close the regular season this weekend when it hosts the Navy Spring Invitational at the par-72, 6,084-yard U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club.
Serving as the Midshipmen's final tune-up before next week's Patriot League Championship in Bethlehem, Pa., the two-day, 36-hole tournament will have tee times starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday while Sunday's final round is slated for a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

The Field
The Midshipmen will host players from league rivals Boston University and Holy Cross, along with Columbia, Dartmouth, La Salle, Lafayette, Mount St. Mary's, Penn and Saint Joseph's.

Holding its own in a stacked field that included five Power-4 programs, Navy finished in a tie for eighth place at the Terps Invitational on Monday … Navy opened the 54-hole tournament by shooting a 295 in the first round Sunday, followed with a 303 second-round score later in the day and closed out the event with a round of 301 Monday to post a weekend score of 35-over par 899 and tie Penn State for eighth place … Ending the tournament with a 2-over par 218 performance, sophomore

Tang Earns Patriot League Golfer of the Week
After a top-10 finish in a loaded field at the Terps Invitational, Tang was named the Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday afternoon … Tang paced the Navy lineup with a seventh-place individual finish, helping the Midshipmen land tied for eighth … The sophomore began with a round of 70 to push herself up the player leaderboard before posting rounds of 75 and 73, as a 2-over par 218 weekend performance tied for seventh place with No. 113-ranked Nicha Kanpai of host Maryland, Penn State's Jiratchaya Jiratthitinun and High Point's Anna Howerton … Tang now has six rounds this season at or below par, along with three Top-10 finishes … This marks the third time the sophomore has won weekly league honors this season, claiming it back on Oct. 2 and Oct. 16, and the fourth time Tang has won the award in her career.
Navy Spring Invitational History
The 2025 tournament will mark the 10th Navy Spring Invitational, previously hosting the event in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024 … Navy has finished as the top team in its home spring tournament just once, placing first out of five teams at the 2019 Navy Spring Invitational with a 27-over par 603 score while Christine McDonnell shot an even-par 144 finish in second place on the player leaderboard … The 2024 tournament saw Penn take home team medalist honors by shooting 36-over par 612, while the Mids'
