ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy squash team earned the coveted Academic Dean's Excellence Award for the 2024-25 academic year. The 13-player roster combined to post a 3.52 Quality Point Rating (QPR) during the school year. 

Awarded annually since the 1995-96 school year, the laurel is presented by the Academic Dean and Provost to the varsity team with the highest average QPR over both semesters of an academic year.

This is the second time (2010-11) the squash team has earned the award and first under head coach Tyler Osborne. 

Led by seniors Matt Wang (Malvern, Pa.) and Lucas Spiro (Buffalo, N.Y.), the squash team was presented with a plaque for its accomplishment by Naval Academy Academic Dean and Provost Dr. Samara L. Firebaugh at the annual Prizes and Awards ceremony during Commissioning Week.
