GOLD CANYON, Ariz. – A tough Tuesday found the Navy women's golf team dropping down the leaderboard into 11th place heading into the final round of the 2025 NCAA Gold Canyon Regional at the Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club.
Playing at the par-72, 6,544-yard Prospector Course, the Midshipmen shot a 25-over par 313 on Tuesday to hold a 36-hole score of 36-over par 612 (299-313), sitting two strokes behind 10th-place Virginia Tech.
Fifth-ranked Oregon paces the 12-team field with a 5-under par 571, while the Ducks' No. 3-ranked Kiara Romero is atop the player leaderboard at 12-under par 132.
Ending Tuesday in 30th after a round of 76, sophomore
Emma Tang paces the Navy lineup at 7-over par 151 (75-76), while freshman
Megan Kirkpatrick's 79 score on Tuesday put her right behind Tang in 31st at 8-over par 152 (73-79).

Keira Howard closed the second day with a 78 round, putting her regional score at 10-over par 154 (76-78) and tying for 43th overall, while senior captain
Bridget Hoang is tied for 46th after a round of 80 put her tournament total at 11-over par 155. Rounding out the Mids, junior
Sue Lee sits 62nd with two-day score of 19-over par 163 (82-81).
Navy finishes play in the Gold Canyon Regional on Wednesday morning, with tee times starting at 8 a.m. MT/11 a.m. ET.
