•    Rice leads the all-time series against Navy 7-6, including a 24-10 win in the last meeting on Nov. 2, 2024. The game was marred by 3 lightning delays and almost 3 inches of rain for a total of 5 hours and 6 minutes, including a 2-hour, 25-minute delay to start the game. The Mids are 2-2 against Rice in games played in Annapolis, including a 14-13 win in the last meeting on Oct, 23, 2004.
•    Navy has 20 players on its roster from the state of Texas, the 4th-most represented state on the Navy roster behind Florida, Georgia and Maryland.
•    Navy will start the year playing 4 of its first-5 and 5 of its first-7 games at home. The Mids will finish the season with 4 of its final-5 games played away from Annapolis.
•     Navy has started the season 3-0 in back-to-back years for the first time since the 2016 and '17 seasons.
•    Navy is 18-10 in the Brian Newberry era and has won 16 of those 18 games by double figures. The only non double-figure wins in the Newberry era are a 21-20 win over Oklahoma in the 2024 Armed Forces Bowl and a 27-24 victory over North Texas in 2023.
•    Navy's 14 first-time starters this year are tied with Louisiana Tech and Bowling Green for the 2nd most in the country.
•    Navy has won 6-consecutive games dating back to last year, that is tied for the 6th-longest active winning streak in the country with Ole Miss and Louisville. Memphis has the longest winning streak in the country at eight games.
