ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Returning seven members from its second-straight Patriot League Championship squad, the Navy women's golf team kicks off the 2025-26 campaign on Monday when it travels to Grand Haven, Mich. to compete in the fourth annual Folds of Honor Collegiate.
Hosted by the Michigan State and Florida State in association with the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and Folds of Honor, the three-day, 54-hole event is slated for Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 8-10, at the par-72 American Dunes Golf Club. Tee times for all three days begin at 7:30 a.m., as the tournament will broadcast live on Golf Channel, with simulcast on the Golf Channel's digital platforms.

About the Tournament
Entering its fourth season, the Folds of Honor Collegiate includes many of the top programs in the country as well all three service academies, Division II powerhouses Findlay and Grand Valley State and two HBCUs … The 2025 season has the tournament field at 15 men's teams and 12 women's teams to reflect the Folds of Honor mission … Proceeds from the event will benefit the Folds of Honor, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit whose mission it is to provide back, through scholarships, to the families of America's fallen or disabled military and first responders … To date, the organization has given out 44,000 scholarships.
The Course
American Dunes Golf Club, known as "the church Jack built," is a living memorial for the sacrifices made by America's service men and women that will see the legendary Jack Nicklaus himself in attendance … The facility, which is located a few hundred yards from the east shore of Lake Michigan, is a dunes-like course, utilizing the dramatic local topography and sand base that covers the property.
Another Year, Another Title
Bring crowned as league champions for the second-straight spring, Navy won the 2025 Patriot League Championship by a 38-stroke margin this past April … Led by
Emma Tang's individual medal at even-par 216, Navy shot a 21-over par 885 at the Saucon Valley Country Club, taking home the program's third-overall Patriot League Championship … The Mids' 885 was Navy's best Patriot League Championship score in program history (in relation to par) … Joining Lee on the All-Patriot League First Team were
Sue Lee and
Megan Kirkpatrick, who tied each other for runner-up honors at 4-over par 220, while
Keira Howard (10th place: 17-over par 233) and
Bridget Hoang (11th place: 18-over par 234) both tallied Second-Team All-Patriot League finishes as well.
Mids Sweep Year-End Awards
Emma Tang was also named the 2025 Patriot League Golfer of the Year while
Megan Kirkpatrick earned the league's Rookie-of-the-Year honors, becoming the first Navy golfers in program history to win their respective awards … Head coach
Kylee Baker completed the awards sweep by earning her second-straight Patriot League Coach of the Year accolade … Tang's four top-5 finishes in 2024-25 established a program single-season record, while her scoring average on the 2024-25 campaign set the program single-season record … Kirkpatrick's 76.19 season scoring average marked the lowest all-time by a Navy freshman.
A Family Tradition
Sophomore
Vivian Cressman is not the first member of her family to golf at the Naval Academy, as her uncle, Joey Kistler, is a USNA Class of 2004 graduate and was a four-year member of the Navy men's golf team … Helping lead the Mids to the 2003 Patriot League title alongside future PGA golfer Billy Hurley, Kistler earned himself All-Patriot League with a 10th-place finish at the league championship … Cressman posted an 80.14 season scoring average over 21 rounds during her rookie campaign, including a season-low round of 72 to open the 2025 Patriot League Championship.
Brisco Named Captain
Coach Baker announced in June that rising senior
Hallie Brisco had been named as team captain for the 2025-26 season … Holding a 79.20 career scoring average over 49 rounds, Brisco has been a steady contributor for the Midshipmen in her three seasons with four top-10 finishes … After a freshman campaign that saw Brisco earn Patriot League Golfer of the Week once and tally a pair of top-5 placings, her sophomore year included helping Navy win the 2024 Patriot League Championship and place 10th in the NCAA Wake Forest Regional … This past season, the Costa Mesa, Calif., native scored an 81.0 average over four events, finishing sixth in the Lehigh Invitational to aid the Mids in capturing the team title.
