Baldwin, Wee Perfect Scores Highlight Weekend Sweep in Ohio

Isabella Baldwin and Tyler Wee both shot a perfect 600 in Columbus on Sunday.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – For what is believed to be the second time in NCAA history, teammates Isabella Baldwin and Tyler Wee shot a perfect 600 in air rifle in the same match, leading the #8 Navy rifle team (6-0, 1-0 GARC) to a weekend sweep in Ohio. The Midshipmen began the weekend with a 4732-4674 win at #15 Akron (0-2, 0-1 GARC) at the Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range in Akron, Ohio. On Sunday, the Mids tallied 4743 points to top #3 TCU (3-2) who finished with 4724 points and match-host #14 Ohio State (1-3) who finished with 4684 points at Converse Hall in Columbus, Ohio.

Baldwin and T. Wee tied the program record with a 595 in smallbore, while both carding a perfect 600 in air rifle to register a new program record of 1195. Last season at The Citadel, the Navy duo became the first set of teammates to fire a perfect 600 in the same match, matching the feat in just the third match of the 2026-27 season.

"What an amazing weekend!" head coach Mike Anti exclaimed. "I am very proud of our entire team. We had seven of our athletes post personal best scores. On Saturday against Akron, we shot a very competitive and backed that up with an even higher score on Sunday. That is extremely difficult to do in our sport.

"On Saturday, the MVP was Hannah Talbott with a personal best 1192 total. On Sunday we had a tie for the MVP between junior Tyler Wee and senior Isabella Baldwin. They both shot a perfect 600 in the air rifle event. Which is only the second time in NCAA history that two shooters from the same team have fired a perfect score in the same competition – they did it both times.

"I really cannot say enough about this team so far in the season. They come to practice ready to work every day and have the confidence to perform under pressure."

Sunday's aggregate team score was the second-best in program history – just two points shy of the program record of 4745 set last season at The Citadel / vs. Georgia Southern. The Mids' smallbore tally of 2359 was the second-best in team history with the air rifle score of 2384 tied for the third-best in the Navy record book.

Up next, Navy hosts Memphis and Mount Aloysius in a match at the Bancroft Hall Rifle Range in Annapolis on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 9:00 a.m. Live targets will be available throughout the match.
