BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The standout freshman campaign of
Zoe Mesuch has continued as on Monday she earned her third straight Patriot League Rookie of the Week award. Mesuch was recognized for her efforts in Navy's victories over Bucknell and Colgate as the Mids extended their record-setting win streak to 11 consecutive league victories.
She began her week on Wednesday against the Bison and knocked down 42.9 percent of her shots, including three three-pointers for a grand total of 17 points to go along with three rebounds and two steals. Coming off the bench as part of Navy's Senior Day game versus the Raiders on Saturday, Mesuch once again led all scorers with 16 points on 50.0 percent shooting and four three-pointers. She increased her rebounding total up to five against Colgate. For the week, she was Navy's leading scorer with a 16.5 points per game average on 46.2 percent shooting from the field and a 63.6 percent mark from three-point range.
For the year, Mesuch is now a six-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week. She is tied with Becky Dowling for second all-time in the program record book and is closing in on
Zanai Barnett-Gay's all-time mark of seven rookie honors from the 2023-24 season.
Mesuch and the Mids will look to keep their momentum going with a pair of road games this week. First up is a Wednesday night matchup at Lehigh before traveling up to West Point for the 2026 Star Game showdown versus Army on Saturday. Times for tip-off are 6 p.m. on Wednesday and 11 a.m. on Saturday.
