BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy track & field athlete Wyatt Shaw was named the Patriot League Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday, after a standout performance at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational.
 
Shaw captured first place in the long jump with a mark of 7.52 meters (24 feet, 8.25 inches), the second-best performance in program history. He also finished second in the high jump, clearing 2.01 meters (6-7), to cap an impressive weekend.
 
The honor marks Shaw's first Patriot League weekly award of the season and the second of his career.
 
Navy returns to action next Friday at the Navy Select at Wesley Brown Field House, serving as its final tune-up before the league championships.
