Navy turns in strong performances at Valentine, Dixon invitationals

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Navy track and field produced a weekend full of record-setting and season-best performances Friday and Saturday at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston and the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational in Lynchburg, Va., highlighted by a school record from Dane Eike.

"I thought it was a successful weekend in Boston and in Virginia," said Jamie Cook, Navy's director of track and field and cross country. "We had a lot of athletes compete and our goal was to have a solid competition coming off the emotion of the victories over Army last week and seeing where athletes stand, being a few weeks out from the Patriot League Championships."

David Hemery Valentine Invitational
