ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The #8 Navy rifle team (8-4) returns to action this Saturday at the Tronsrue Marksmanship Center in West Point, N.Y. at 9:00 a.m. against #16 Army (4-10) in the annual Star Match. The competition is part of the Army-Navy Star Series, presented by USAA.

Star Match Scoring Format
Scoring for the Star Match will feature eight starters for each team in smallbore and air rifle with the top-five scores counting toward each team's final score. The NCAA scoring model of starting five shooters in each event with the top-four scores counting will still be used for NCAA Championship qualification purposes.
All-Time Series
In a series that dates back to the 1939 season, Army holds a 47-37 edge over Navy in the 84 meetings between the two service academies. However, the Midshipmen have won six of the last seven matches against the Black Knights, including four straight Star wins. Additionally, the Mids have a 6-2 record against Army in Star Matches under the direction of head coach
Mike Anti.
2025-26 Star Series Breakdown
In the overall 2025-26 Army-Navy Star Series, presented by USAA, Navy has a 7-4-1 advantage over Army. The Midshipmen have claimed the Star in men's golf, men's cross country, men's rugby, sprint football, men's swimming & diving, women's swimming & diving, and football, while tying in women's soccer. Saturday's rifle match is one of four Star competitions on the day, joining men's and women's indoor track & field and gymnastics. Rifle is the only Star competition of the four taking place in West Point.

National Standings
Navy enters the weekend eighth in the standings with an NCAA qualifying score of 4729.00, while Army is eight spots back in 16th with a tally of 4688.67. Heading into the weekend, Navy holds the eighth and final spot that is needed to qualify for the NCAA Championship just ahead of Memphis who has an average score 4728.67. Kentucky ranks first in the overall team standings with a 4756.00 qualifying score.
Scouting the Midshipmen
Through seven matches, freshman
Tyler Wee leads the team in all three disciplines. The rookie, who has posted two perfect 600s in air rifle this season, leads the way with an 1188.3 average in aggregate thanks to a team-best 589.6 in smallbore and a 598.7 in air rifle.
Senior
Parker Haydin is one spot back of T. Wee in smallbore and aggregate, while coming in third on the team in air rifle. Haydin boasts an aggregate average of 1184.0. He has a smallbore tally of 587.9, while notching an average of 596.1 in air rifle.
Junior
Isabella Baldwin is second in air rifle, while ranking third on the squad in smallbore and aggregate averages. She has a 585.3 in smallbore, while notching a 596.6 in air rifle for a combined average of 1181.9 in aggregate.
Junior
Ryan Wee is fourth on the team in smallbore and aggregate shooting. The older Wee brother is fourth in smallbore with an average score of 580.0, while coming in fourth on the team in aggregate scoring with an 1164.7. R. Wee has an average of 584.7 in air rifle.

Catherine Dely is in the top five for air rifle and aggregate. Dely is fourth in air rifle with a 590.6, while coming in fifth in aggregate with a score of 1163.0, and just outside of the top five (sixth) in smallbore with a 572.4.

Chelsie Glover is fifth in smallbore with an average tally of 575.4, while ranking sixth among Midshipmen shooters in air rifle (586.9) and aggregate (1162.3).
Seniors
Grace Shepard and
Devin Uhrich follow for the Mids. Shepard is fifth in air rifle with a 587.6, while adding totals of 569.7 and 1157.3 in smallbore and aggregate, respectively. Uhrich is just outside of the top five in each category with averages of 570.6 (smallbore), 586.1 (air rifle), and 1156.7 (aggregate).
Freshmen
Preston Everette (570.4 SB; 578.6 AR; 1149.0 Agg),
Audrey Hart (547.8 SB; 583.0 AR; 1130.8 Agg.), and

The Black Knights are 4-10 overall after placing third with 4683 points in a tri-match against #3 West Virginia (4755) and #9 Navy (4719).
Army is led by Chris Jennings, who has an 1174.4 average in aggregate scoring. The senior averages 583.0 in smallbore with a 590.7 average in air rifle. Jennings is followed by Addison Antwiler, Hannah Dufresne, Ashton Arlington, and Brenna Green who all average above 1160. Andwiler (583.1 SB; 587.4 AR) has an aggregate score of 1170.6, while Dufresne (581.9 SB; 584.9 AR), Arlington (577.3 SB; 587.0 AR), and Green (579.8 SB; 584.1 AR) have combined averages of 1166.8, 1164.3, and 1163.9, respectively.
