DANBURY, Conn. - Coming off an award-winning performance this past weekend in Colorado at the 2026 USAG Collegiate Championship, sophomore
Jonah Soltz was announced on Tuesday as the ECAC Gymnast of the Week. Soltz was locked in throughout the two days of action at the USAG event and came away with the all-around title on Friday, as well as All-USAG honors on the pommel horse and vault during the event finals on Saturday.
The Tacoma, Washington was right at home in Colorado over the weekend as he began the USAG Collegiate Championship with a victory in the all-around competition on Friday. Coming in with just two prior all-around scores to his name as a collegiate gymnast, Soltz was solid from his first event through event number six as he accumulated 78.55 points to finish first overall on the all-around leaderboard. Soltz turned in top-10 scores on four of the apparatus on Friday as he ranked seventh on the vault (13.8 points), seventh on the high bar (12.7), ninth on the pommel horse (13.25) and tenth on the parallel bars (13.05). Those first three performances qualified him for the respective event finals on Saturday and Soltz subsequently walked away with top-six podium finishes on the pommel horse (fifth place-12.85 points) and vault (fifth-13.5 points), while just missing the podium for his high bar effort of 12.4 that ranked seventh in the field.
This is the first career ECAC honor for Soltz and seventh of the 2026 season for the Navy Gymnastics program ...

The Navy men's gymnastics team will pick up postseason action next Saturday, April 4 with competition at the 2026 ECAC Championship. Springfield College will host the year-end conference championship with first touch set for 1 p.m. at Blake Arena.
