BETHLEHEM, PA. // After earning individual medalist honors and leading the Navy men's golf team to a third-place finish at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate on Tuesday, the Mids' team captain
Jack Tarzy (Sr / Medford, N.J.) has been named the Patriot League Men's Golfer of the Week the league office announced on Wednesday.
Tarzy captured a share of his fourth individual title for the 2025-26 campaign by turning in a 5-under par 208 at the 12-team, 84-player tournament. Tarzy, who was within striking distance of his teammate and leader
Chip Deegan after posting a 3-under par in Monday's opening round, came back to shoot 3-under in the afternoon session and made his way to the top of the leader board. Tarzy held on during Friday's final round with a 1-over par 72.
Tarzy, whose 5-under par 208 is tied as the sixth-lowest score in school history, shared individual medalist honors with Villanova's Matt Zerfass, who used a 4-under par in the final round to make the leap from sixth to a tie for first.
In addition to his win at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate on Tuesday, Tarzy won three-consecutive tournaments during the fall campaign, taking medalist honors at The Goat, the Commander-In-Chief's Cup and the Nassau Intercollegiate. The four wins by Tarzy this year are the most by a Navy golfer in a season since Billy Hurley won 6 tournaments his senior year in 2003-04.
Navy returns to action April 6-7 when it competes in the Wildcat Invitational played at Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway, N.J.
