ANNAPOLIS, Md. – After wrapping up her second top-5 showing of the season Tuesday, Navy junior Emma Tang was named the Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
 
Playing in Monday and Tuesday's Kingsmill Intercollegiate on the par-72 River Course at Kingsmill Resort, Tang led all Navy golfers by finishing in fifth place, marking her third top-10 finish of the season. With an 8-over par 224, the junior was able to card rounds of 74, 73 and 77, helping Navy post a three-round team total of 44-over par 908.
 
The award marks the second time Tang has won weekly league honors this season and the sixth time garnering Patriot League Golfer of the Week laurels in her career.
 
Navy continues the season on Saturday with a match-play event against Delaware, hosted at the DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Del.
